Is it time to move beyond tolerance?

According to the Merriam Webster Dictionary tolerate means to "a : to suffer to be or to be done without prohibition, hindrance, or contradiction b : to put up with". We all work so hard on being tolerant of others and their paths in life. Some are more successful than others but it seems to be a fairly common goal. But is "putting up with" something enough? It still implies that the choice another has made is inferior to our own. Perhaps it is time to move beyond just tolerating those people and things that are different. Its time now to move on to "acceptance". Merriam Webster's definition of "accept" is b : to regard as proper, normal, or inevitable c : to recognize as true : BELIEVE. If we accept that all other's choices, including their spiritual path, are their own to make and just as normal and true as our own, how much more unity would that foster within the Pagan community? What about within the larger collectives of regional, national and global communities?
